Technology has made life more convenient for people. Technology provides convenience and efficiency it almost all aspects of life. And it seems that technology might also someday make people become more complacent in terms of going to and fro. With the recently unveiled Honda UNI-CUB Personal Mobility Device, even a simple activity like walking might be improved by technology.

Honda has recently introduced its UNI-CUB Personal Mobility Device which will also be undergoing joint trials. You can consider it as a modern wheelchair designed for everyone. It features a driving wheel mechanism that can be directed in all directions via Honda’s Omni Traction Drive System. It is also designed in a compact size that comfortably fits in between the legs, much like a motorized stool. Mobility is controlled by the feet. It runs on lithium ion batteries and with a range of 6km running at a speed of 6km/h

The Honda UNI-CUB is designed for use in spaces indoors such as offices or homes. It can help make people ride going to the next room or the office pantry instead of just walking. Whether the concept might take off is still anyone’s guess. But for now, Honda is conducting trials and testing for the Honda UNI-CUB Personal Mobility Device to determine its possible uses in different facilities and environments. For those who want it now, you might have to wait a little bit longer.
